We battled through driving wind and hail to get to the Little Asby Hawthorn today. Tough, but extremely rewarding. There’s something quite special about taking shelter in shoulder-deep clefts of limestone, and looking up to the writhing mass of bare branches. Like climbing into the earth, and rooting ourselves, sitting out the storm.
