Aloneness gives a tree
Such an opportunity
To stand out
From the scene

To enter nature’s stage
Like a many-armed diva
Receiving bouquets of flowers
Awards
And much applause

To be painted and pictured
By people
As rings grow
Ever so slowly

Basking in her own glow
Of specialness
With no pretentious divas in sight
To steal her light

Her water transfused
From veins
Way down below
Only flowing for her
Don’t you know

She says:
“I am here
And I will not be ignored
So feast your eyes
Then feast some more”
